Really Ron Paul, its a philosophy problem? (music to my ears)

To understand 'politiks' one must realize, first, that political philosophy is not neutral. Its various starting points lead to quite different conclusions. (Notice the point made near the end, that 'without the beginning, there is no way to get to the end) It wise then and practically prudent in politics to ask at the outset where the consequences may drag us. Indeed, it would do us well to read some Plato, Rousseau, Hobbes, Locke, and then, promptly, buy and read Schlossberg's "Idols for Destruction."
